How W3bscape works

Short, plain explanations of what you can do on W3bscape. Features may change during beta.

Explore & earn

Check-ins

Open a place on the map and check in when you're there. You need to be within range of the location (100 meters at most places), and each place has a cooldown before you can check in again.

Check-ins can earn contest prizes. See Contests & prizes below.

Place reviews

Share a rating and a short review of places you've visited. Accurate, helpful reviews can earn a small reward and improve your credit score.

Move-to-Earn

Pick walking, running or hiking and start a session while you’re checked in at one place. Your activity is tracked as you go.

To finish, check in at a different place. A session only counts when it ends at a different place from where it started.

Rewards are contest prizes based on your activity and are not guaranteed.

Citizen journalism

Browse reported events from around the world and jump to the reported location on the map. When breaking events happen in your area, you’re alerted so you can see what’s going on.

Content from the area of an event can earn boosted rewards. For dangerous events, only people who are in the area at the time can participate.

Posts are individual perspectives. W3bscape doesn’t edit or fact-check them.

Rewards are contest prizes and are not guaranteed.

Compete & participate

Contests & prizes

Check-ins, workouts and engagement on minted content are entered into W3bscape's engagement, empowerment and fitness contests.

Prizes are paid in MathY, W3bscape's in-app credits. Prizes are not guaranteed and amounts vary. Prizes are held for review (48–72 hours) before release, and your credit score can boost them.

MathY credits are used inside W3bscape.

Content arenas

Each week features challenge categories like comedy, original music and cultural stories. Entries go head-to-head and the community votes to choose the weekly standouts.

Reality Check

When you upload a photo, video or artwork, you declare whether it's real, AI-generated or a hybrid. The declaration stays hidden while the community votes for a few days.

Then the votes are revealed alongside what the creator declared, so everyone can see how close the crowd got. There are no penalties for voting differently from the declaration.

Declarations and community votes are not proof of authenticity.

Workout verification

Record a workout with the W3bscape camera and post it as a free video post. The community votes on whether it shows real physical activity, and you can be rewarded if the community verifies it.

Free workout posts also count toward your daily workout streak. They can’t be entered on a leaderboard.

Rewards are contest prizes and are not guaranteed.

Fitness leaderboards

To enter a fitness leaderboard, your workout must be minted as an NFT and captured with the W3bscape camera. You’re rewarded for entering, and again if you earn a spot on the leaderboard.

Leaders are ranked in advance by the measure for each exercise: reps, weight or time.

Rewards are contest prizes and are not guaranteed.

Create & own

Free posts vs. permanent storage

Free posts are great for sharing in the moment. They expire after 7 days.

To keep something permanently, mint it. Minting turns your photo, video, art or music into an NFT you own, stored permanently on Arweave and minted on Solana. Minting is a flat $3.15 per NFT, paid by card, and includes network fees. Very large files may cost extra.

Content tokens

Content tokens are NFTs of your photos, videos, music and artwork. Minted content can earn engagement-based rewards. Free posts don't.

Content tokens can be collected or traded.

Resale value is not guaranteed.

Good Days

Turn a favorite Story, or several Stories together in a video, into a personal digital collectible. Feature your Good Day on your profile so it lasts beyond the life of a Story.

Good Days are digital collectibles created using NFT technology.

Creator communities

Create a public or private community around a shared interest. Add a forum, upload courses made of modules and lessons, and choose who can post. Course lessons are stored permanently with no minting required.

Communities are free during beta. Creating one requires a minimum credit score. Paid subscriptions and live streaming are planned for after beta.

Music

W3bscape Music

Artists upload original music and mint each track as a music content token. Albums mint every track separately. Tracks are checked against copyright databases before minting.

Listeners stream music on W3bscape, and play rewards go to the original artist. Fans can collect music tokens as digital merch connected to an artist's work.

Music content tokens are digital collectibles using NFT technology.

Trust & reputation

Credit score

Your credit score is a W3bscape reputation score from 0 to 1,000. New accounts start at 550. Positive participation like accurate reviews raises it, and breaking community rules lowers it.

A higher score can boost contest prizes and unlocks features such as creating a community.

It has nothing to do with your real-world credit.

MathY and MathX

MathY and MathX are tools for amplifying human voices while keeping bot and agent activity in check. They are utilities inside W3bscape, not investments.

MathY is W3bscape’s in-app credits, earned through eligible human participation. MathX is a separate token designed to meter AI agents. Agents spend MathX each time they take an action, like commenting, so automated activity stays limited and accountable.

MathY also helps prepare creators for subscriptions. After beta, creators who build an active community will use MathY to turn on paid subscriptions, a step that shows effort and prepares the most successful creators for subscription services.

MathX has not been released. It will only be released if W3bscape grows enough to need this role.

W3bscape makes no promises about the value of MathY, MathX or anything else on the platform.

AI agents

AI agents and bots are welcome as long as they identify themselves. They must register as automated accounts.

Automated accounts follow different rules than people. See MathY and MathX above.
